FTMO Account Size, Allocation and Scaling: Four Different Numbers
The biggest FTMO account question needs a definition of size. An ordinary purchase choice, total allocation, a qualified Prime benefit and a Scaling Plan ceiling are different quantities. This source guide checks selected CFD descriptions on 24 October 2026 and does not identify a particular trader's largest account or received payment.

Start with the ordinary selector and the aggregate limit
The public overview reviewed lists ordinary Challenge choices up to $200,000. The separate allocation FAQ gives a default $400,000 total per trader or strategy before scaling, across accounts and products. That aggregate limit is not a single purchase choice. The FAQ prohibits circumventing limits through different registrations.
Its CAD 480,000 equivalent is a provider-defined allocation reference. It is not a live USD/CAD exchange-rate quote. Keep the account's actual base currency next to its amount instead of treating every capital figure as a cash holding.
Prime is a qualification, not the ordinary entry menu
The Prime FAQ describes allocation up to $600,000 and access to a $400,000 Challenge for qualifying holders. It excludes Instant from the Premium Programme. These stated benefits should not be advertised as available to every new customer.
A comparison record should name the benefit, qualification and product. Otherwise, the size of a qualified offer can be confused with the standard selector or with a different programme's nominal equity.
| Field | Dated source or example | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary selector | Choices reviewed up to 200,000 | Not all conditional or Premium access |
| Default allocation | 400,000 per trader/strategy before scaling | Aggregate, not a single purchase |
| Prime | 600,000 allocation / 400,000 Challenge access | Qualification and product conditions |
| Scaling | Up to 2 million across accounts | Performance conditions, not immediate cash |
| Hypothetical arithmetic | 400,000 x 1.25 =500,000 | Not a verified account or payout |
Read 2 million as a conditional Scaling Plan limit
The Scaling Plan describes growth up to $2,000,000 across all FTMO Accounts. The named conditions include an account obtained through 1-Step/2-Step, at least four months, 10% net simulated profit, two processed Rewards and a positive balance. Instant is excluded. The stated increase is 25% per eligible four-month interval.
As pure arithmetic, a hypothetical eligible 400,000 balance increased by 25% becomes 500,000. That does not establish an ordinary 500,000 purchase, a qualified personal account or a cash payment. Do not skip the programme conditions because the multiplication is simple.
A useful answer to an imprecise funds label
Record the product, base currency, metric, source date and whether the amount is an initial choice, an allocation or a conditional target. A nominal simulated balance is not company revenue, a personal bank balance or a payout record.
The optional HashHedge invitation concerns a separate provider. Its market, capital labels, fees and eligibility require its own conditions; neither FTMO qualifications nor FTMO limits transfer to it.
